Ever since I can remember, I’ve known I would own my own business. It just was not clear to me what kind of business I would own. While I was going to college, my father and I started a retail store. We expanded to two locations and sold the business seven years later. During that time, I had also started publishing a magazine, launched a marketing company, and started a record label, all of which ended in their first year of business.

Along this road I started listening to personal development tapes, and I heard a tape by Jim Rohn. It essentially said that most people have a job to pay the bills, but it’s what they do with the second eight hours of the day that determines their financial future. So I decided to do the same and got a job. I went in search of an opportunity that would secure my financial future. After a short educational experience with another company, I started my PPLSI business in October 1998.

I worked the business for two years, and at the end of that time, both my wife, Julie, and I decided to pursue our dreams. My wife’s dream was to be a stay-at-home mom, and my dream was to work only for myself. Today, Julie takes care of our family while I take care of our finances. What excites me most is the opportunity to not only enjoy watching my children grow up but also to participate in their lives as they grow up. This business requires your time and energy, but you have the opportunity to earn income and set your own schedule.
